EV Charger Grants in the UK

Guide to EV charger grants in the UK — OZEV Chargepoint Grant and Workplace Charging Scheme. Who's eligible, how much, and how to apply.

Last reviewed: April 2026

What grants are available for EV chargers?

Two main government grants help reduce the cost of EV charger installation in the UK: the OZEV Electric Vehicle Chargepoint Grant (for individuals) and the Workplace Charging Scheme (for businesses).

OZEV Electric Vehicle Chargepoint Grant

This grant provides up to £350 towards the cost of installing a home EV charger. It's available to: renters (with landlord permission), residents of flats and apartments, and people who have on-street parking only.

Workplace Charging Scheme

Businesses, charities, and public sector organisations can claim up to £350 per socket (up to 40 sockets) under the Workplace Charging Scheme. This is a voucher-based scheme that must be applied for before installation begins.

How Ecoleaf Energy helps

We check your eligibility, apply for the voucher on your behalf, and deduct the grant amount from your invoice — so you only pay the net cost. The process is simple and hassle-free.
